~Fire Alarm~

Well, we had been meaning to schedule a fire drill anyway...

I had finished making pancakes on my grill and had turned off the heat.  As I usually do, I left the exhaust on.  About 5 minutes later (when my food was in the warmer) the alarm goes off.  I make sure to check my grill to make sure it wasn't smoking or anything before I headed out the door.  It was fine, so I went to the flag pole where we all meet in case of emergencies, wondering if someone else planned a drill.  Of course, it's kind of been added to my job description to be in charge of drills, so I was a little confused.  Sure enough, it was not a drill!  The fire truck came and they went through the building checking for smoke and fire...nothing.  Something tripped the system, but we are not sure what.  And it didn't trip the whole system, as the fire doors which are supposed to shut automatically (and are tested to make sure they do just that) didn't.  hmm.  It's a mystery!  It's always an adventure around here!

~Passover~

Tonight I will be celebrating Passover with the you at my church.  Should be fun :)  I don't really know the youth and so it will be a little different but there are a lot of great youth staff and I'm sure it will go well.  I'll try to update later, but I knew I would be too tired to do so tonight...thus I am at least starting a blog post so I will have to come back and update ;).
