Today we drove into California to the Lava Beds National Monument. We were screened for bat disease (lol) and cleared to go caving. Flashlights in hand we explored 3 caves. 85 degrees outside and 45 degrees (and colder) in the caves was a fun experience. It was really a quick change in temperature too!
Once inside the caves we turned off our flashlights to see what we could see...big fat nothing! We even waited a while so our eyes could adjust. Nothin'.

2 flashlights...one for me and one for baby! j/k one was Donny's. |
Amazing, since we couldn't see anything! |
Donny trekking down to the ice in Skull Cave. It got cold! |
Light at the end of the tunnel! Oh, and my camera's flash where I am standing. |
Creepy black Western Fence Lizards. We found several of them. Better them than snakes! |
